Wiper scratches, sand, failed washes and vandalism leave marks that catch the light every time you drive into the sun. On most cars replacing the windshield is the simple answer.
On rare and expensive cars it is not. A Porsche windshield runs $500–$2,000 aftermarket and up to around $3,900 at the dealer — when it is in stock at all.
On classic and collector cars the glass is frequently not manufactured any more, and there is nothing to order.
That is where restoration is not the cheap option — it is the only one. We polish out scratches optically, without distortion, keeping the original factory glass in the car.
For a collector vehicle that also means keeping it original.
We are selective on purpose. We take exotic, classic, luxury and rare vehicles where replacement is expensive, slow or impossible.
If you drive a common car with a cracked windshield, replacement will be cheaper and we will tell you that honestly rather than sell you work you do not need.

Questions we get asked
Will it distort the view through the glass?
Done properly, no — the glass is polished optically flat. Distortion comes from taking too much material off one spot, and that is what the step system and the temperature checks are there to prevent.
Could the windshield crack while you work?
Heat is what cracks glass, not the polishing itself. Our crews watch surface temperature while they work; it is the difference between a restored pane and a broken one.
How long does the car have to be with you?
Most vehicles are a single visit — usually one to two hours on the glass. Once we have seen the photos and know how much of the glass is affected, a closer window goes in the written estimate.
Why restore instead of replacing the glass?
On an ordinary car, usually you should not — replacement is the cheaper answer and we will say so. On exotic, classic, luxury and rare vehicles the glass is expensive, slow to source, or not manufactured any more, and restoration keeps the original factory glass in the car. Send the make, model and year with your photos and we will tell you which side of that line you are on.
What do you need from me to quote it?
Photos and which glass. Shoot the panel straight on, then a close-up at an angle with light across it, and tell us the year, make and model. That is enough to tell you whether restoring makes sense on your car or whether replacement is the honest answer.
