Scratched Glass Before Handover? Restore It — Don’t Replace It.
Construction debris, scrapers and stucco splatter leave scratches on brand-new glass. The building is ready for handover, and suddenly the client won’t accept the windows.
Here is what most contractors find out too late: your insurance usually will not cover it. Scratches made during cleaning or construction are treated as workmanship, not accidental damage.
That leaves the general contractor, the window cleaner or the cleaning crew paying for replacement out of pocket.
We restore the glass on site instead. No cranes, no lead times, no reordering tempered panels.

Questions we get asked
Will the panels look distorted after restoration?
Done properly, no. The glass comes back to optical clarity — the way it looked before the damage. Distortion comes from taking too much material off one spot, and that is what the step system and the temperature checks are there to prevent.
Could a panel crack during the work?
Heat is what cracks glass, not the polishing itself. Our crews watch surface temperature while they work; it is the difference between a restored panel and a broken one.
How long does it take?
A few panes are a single visit, usually one to two hours on site. A full storefront or a floor of windows is normally one to two days. We work nights and weekends when the handover date demands it, and the schedule goes in the written estimate before anyone drives out.
Why restore instead of replacing the panels?
Replacement means reordering tempered glass, waiting on the lead time and bringing a crew and often a lift back to a building that is otherwise ready to hand over. We restore on site, on the panels already glazed in. If a panel genuinely cannot be restored, you hear it before you pay anyone.
What do you need from me to quote it?
Photos and a count. One shot of the elevation, then a close-up at an angle with light across the glass. Tell us how many panels and your handover date, and a written estimate comes back the same day.
