Questions we get asked
Will the windows look distorted afterwards?
Done properly, no. Distortion comes from taking too much material off one spot — that is what the step system and the temperature checks are there to prevent.
Could a window crack while you work on it?
Heat is what cracks glass, not the polishing itself. Our crews watch surface temperature while they work; it is the difference between a restored panel and a broken one.
How long does it take, and do you come to the coach?
We work where the coach is parked. Most jobs are a single visit — usually one to two hours on the glass, and a whole yard is scheduled by the day. Once we know how many windows are involved, a closer window goes in the written estimate.
Why restore instead of replacing the window?
These panels are frequently custom sized, tinted and bonded into the coach, and many are discontinued — sourcing one means weeks of waiting and a specialist to fit it, with the vehicle sitting. Restoration happens on the panel already in the coach, without touching the seals or the body. If a window genuinely needs replacing, we will tell you.
Are the windows tinted or coated?
Tell us before we start, or make sure it shows in the photos. Coach glass is often tinted or coated from the factory, and polishing takes coatings off — it changes what we recommend, and sometimes it changes the answer to whether we take the job.
