Glass dust and dry polishing powder are respirable. They go into your lungs and they stay there. Look at what most kits on this market include for breathing protection and you will find a paper mask — the kind that costs a couple of dollars and filters almost nothing that matters.
This professional glass restoration kit ships with a half-face respirator fitted with P100 filters, in medium or large to suit your face. Sealed goggles, not open-sided glasses, because the slurry comes at you from below. Anti-vibration gloves, because a 7-inch rotary machine runs all day and the work is wet.

HOW THE PROFESSIONAL GLASS RESTORATION KIT WORKS
Each pad has a specific role. You choose the correct starting Step based on the condition of the glass, test the correction, then continue through every following Step in sequence.
You do not need to start every job with Step 1. For severe damage — deep scratches, acid damage, acid-etched graffiti — Step 1 may be required. For most medium-level jobs, test Step 2 first. For lighter surface defects, hard water damage, mineral deposits, scuffs, haze, wiper marks or fine scratches, you may be able to start at Step 3, 4 or 5.
Step 6 is the main clarity Step, with built-in compound. Step 7 is the premium final felt stage, used with compound for heavy correction, expensive storefront glass and maximum final clarity.
RECOMMENDED MACHINE SETTINGS
Recommended speed: approximately 2,500–3,500 RPM. The included polisher covers this range on settings 4 through 8.
Keep the tool flat, stable and controlled. Do not use excessive speed, do not stay in one spot too long, and do not overheat the glass. Use the infrared temperature gun rather than guessing — by the time heat damage is visible, it is permanent. The goal is controlled correction, not forcing the tool into the surface.
HOW MANY JOBS CAN THIS KIT HANDLE?
The pads in this professional glass restoration kit cover approximately 5–13 jobs, and where you land depends on the damage. Light damage — surface scratches, hard water spots, staining, haze, wiper marks — sits toward the upper end. Deep or severe damage such as acid etching and acid-etched graffiti sits toward the lower end. Glass size, machine speed and how many Steps you actually need move the number inside that range.
When the pads run out, restock by the Step. The machine, the case, the protection and the training are yours permanently.

WHAT THIS PROFESSIONAL GLASS RESTORATION KIT WILL NOT DO
It will not make you good at this in an afternoon. Glass is unforgiving — too much heat and you distort it, too much pressure in one spot and you dish it, and neither is repairable. We would rather you practise on scrap glass for an hour than learn on a client’s storefront.
It does not work on tinted, coated or Low-E surfaces, because polishing removes coatings. It does not cover windshields; laminated auto glass is its own discipline. And it will not fix damage you cannot reach — a scratch on the inside face of a sealed unit is beyond any kit.

Before this I had a polisher in one box, compounds somewhere else, random pads from different companies and half the time something was missing when I got to a job. Now the whole glass setup lives in one bag. I’ve done light scratches, hard water and one pretty nasty post construction window with it. You definitely need to learn which Step to start with. Also use the temperature gun. Seriously. Not cheap, but for somebody actually charging for restoration work I think it makes sense.

I’m starting a small restoration business and was stuck for weeks researching machines, RPM, compounds, pads, respirators, backing plates… every person online recommends something different. Eventually I said screw it and bought the complete setup. That was probably the right decision for me. Instead of researching equipment I’m actually practicing now. I’ve done around 8 pieces of scrap glass and two small paid jobs. Still slow, still checking temperature constantly, but the results are there. If you already own everything maybe you don’t need the all-in-one. Starting from zero like I was? Makes a lot of sense.

Waited about a month before writing this because a review after opening the box doesn’t tell anybody much. So far I’ve used the kit on construction scratches, hard water, one shower door and acid damage on storefront glass. The thing I appreciate most now is actually the Step system. When I first opened the bag I thought seven different pads seemed like overcomplicating it. After doing different types of damage I understand why they’re separate. You don’t attack every piece of glass the same way. I also learned pretty quickly that faster isn’t better. My first few practice pieces got way hotter than they should have because I was trying to force the correction. Now the temperature gun basically stays next to me the entire job. The machine has plenty of power, the bag keeps everything together and I haven’t had to buy another major tool to actually use the system. Is $1500 cheap? No. But I’m not buying this to polish my bathroom mirror once. It’s equipment I use to charge customers for restoration work. Looking at it that way, I’m happy with what I got.
